Rail Simulator is a new member of a growing family of simulation games that give you the chance to be the driver of all sorts of vehicles, in this particular case, of a train. In Rail Simulator, you have two simulation options, which makes it a great game for people of any skill level, age, or commitment level. First, there’s a simple mode, where you can control your selected train with just a few buttons, allowing you to focus instead on your route and passengers. The other option is a complex mode, where you will have to make lots of little decisions constantly to keep the train from derailing.
Whichever of the two simulation modes you choose, you will have to follow your route and stay on schedule, making sure all the passengers and freight make it to their destination station on time. You’d better not be late! The better and more efficient you can make your train run, the more points you will get.
